Universal Ornament
Universal Ornaments, also called Universal Armor Ornaments, are cosmetic appearances that can be applied to almost any Armor piece without changing its stats or perks. Unlike a weapon-specific or armor-set ornament, a universal ornament can be placed on any Legendary or Exotic armor piece of the matching slot and class, so a player can keep the gear they want while wearing the look they prefer.

Acquisition
Universal ornaments come from a few places:
- Armor Synthesis (transmog). Any non-Exotic armor a player has unlocked in their Collections can be turned into a universal ornament at the cost of one Synthweave. The ornament is created for the class that owns the armor. Players can earn a limited amount of Synthweave per class each season, and more can be bought from Eververse.
- Eververse. Many ornament sets are sold for Silver or Bright Dust and unlock as universal ornaments right away.
Some sets are also handed out through seasonal events and reward tracks.
Usage
Once a universal ornament is unlocked it stays on the account for that class, and it can be applied to eligible armor from the appearance screen at no further cost. Applying or removing an ornament does not change the armor's stats, mods, or perks.
