Everyone on both teams has a Scorch Cannon. Be brave.

Team Scorched is a PvP Mode accessible from The Crucible.

Overview

Team Scorched is a 6v6 PvP Mode where all players are wielding Scorch Cannons. It is only available as a weekly rotating game mode.

Mechanics

Equipped weapons and abilities cannot be used in this game mode. Movement abilities (e.g. Lift, Jump, Glide), sprinting, and Emotes can be used. Players are forced to use the Scorch Cannon, which cannot be dropped. The Scorch Cannon has 100 ammo, which is replenished on respawn.

Matches have a 7 minute timer. Players have a 3 second respawn timer. Kills give +1 point each. The first team to reach 60 points wins. If the timer runs out before a team reaches 50 points, the team with the larger score wins. The player's current and longest kill streak is shown at the top of the screen, below the score.

Tips

  • Even though equipped weapons cannot be used, Deepsight Resonance weapons and Shaped weapons will still gain leveling progress if they are equipped when matches end.
  • Scorch Cannons are projectile weapons, so you need to consider the travel time of the projectile when firing at enemies.
  • Scorch Cannons can do damage with direct projectile hits, or from projectile explosions. Holding down the fire button will charge the projectile, and releasing it will detonate it.
  • Moving around in the air can make you harder to hit.
  • If you're trying to hit enemies that are moving around in the air, try to shoot nearby surfaces, like walls or the ground, when they get close to them.
  • It's possible to rocket jump using the projectile detonation.
