Snowballs are throwable relic items available during The Dawning event in Destiny 2.

Overview
Guardians pick up snowballs from snow mounds in the world and throw them at enemies. Since their rework, snowballs deal Stasis damage and can slow targets. Eva Levante sells upgrades for them during the event, paid for with Dawning Spirits, that lengthen the slow, leave Stasis mines, or create more snowballs when frozen targets shatter.
