Maeve's Key is an item added in the Season of the Deep.
Acquisition
This item can be claimed from Shaw Han in the Cosmodrome. It is most likely given as a reward for completing the quest A Guardian Rises and the tutorial campaign.
Usage
In the room across from Shaw Han in the Steppes, under the landing zone, the key can be used to unlock a chest. The chest will reward the 
Tractor Cannon Exotic Shotgun.
