Momentum

From Destiny 2 Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Health and shield regeneration stop when you're not moving. Sprint to speed up regeneration.

Momentum is a Modifier common to both Nightfall Strikes and Heroic Adventures.

While Momentum is in effect, health and shield regeneration are modified based on the player's movement. If the player is stationary, they are temporarily halted (indicated by the Inertia status effect). The Inertia effect can be removed by sprinting, which applies the Momentum effect. The momentum effect increases health and shield regeneration and remains in effect until the player becomes stationary, causing it to be replaced by the Inertia effect. Note that moving but not sprinting will not remove the Inertia effect.

Notes

The onset of the Momentum status effect during sprinting causes health and shield to begin regenerating immediately; this can be used to bypass the usual delay after taking damage.
