Function

  • Greatly improved target acquisition (aim assist) for Pulse Rifles
  • Increased accuracy when aiming down sights
  • Faster aim-down-sights speed
  • Enhanced version offered significantly greater benefits than standard Pulse Rifle Targeting
  • Was equipped on helmet armor pieces

Mod Details

  • Slot: Helmet
  • Type: Enhanced Weapon Targeting Mod
  • Energy Cost: High (historically reported as problematic when combined with other mods)
  • Status: Deprecated (no longer functional)

Enhanced Mods System

Enhanced mods were part of an older armor system in Destiny 2 that provided stronger versions of standard mods. These enhanced mods typically:

  • Required more energy to equip (often 5-6 energy)
  • Provided greater benefits than their standard counterparts
  • Were obtained through endgame activities
  • Created energy management challenges when combined with stat mods

Deprecation

Enhanced Pulse Rifle Targeting was deprecated as part of the armor mod rework in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. The entire enhanced mod system was removed, with Bungie consolidating and streamlining the armor mod system. Players who preferred targeting assistance were directed to use alternatives like Precision Weapon Targeting, which provided similar but slightly weaker benefits.
