Walkthrough

Once you begin the mission, follow the objective marker through to Maevic Square. Then, continue following it until you reach an energy barrier that you will have to take down. Before you can do that, you will have to turn back and deal with the Fallen in the park.

Your main target is the Fallen Captain in the group. Once you kill him, he will drop an explosive that you need to use to go through the barrier. Take the explosive and plant it on the barrier's power source. Make sure to take a few steps back until you're outside the blast radius, then detonate the explosive. This will lower the barrier and you'll be able to continue.

Once you enter the next area, your way will be blocked by a similar barrier and you will need to kill a different group of enemies to progress. Once again, a special enemy holds the explosives you need - a Salvage Guard. Kill him, take the charge, and blow up the power source of the new barrier.

Keep following the objective marker through the new area and kill everything in sight. At some point, you will reach a third barrier. Don't look for explosives, though, since this time you will have to hack into the Fallen network and disable the barrier that way. The moment you take this obstacle down, you will be attacked, so be prepared.

Hacking the Fallen network will not sit well with its owners and they will launch a heavy assault on you. The first wave will be dropped by a Skiff and it shouldn't be much of a problem to deal with. However, different types of Fallen will keep dropping on you, so be ready for heavy resistance.

Once you've dealt with the majority of the Fallen forces, a special Servitor will spawn, called Network Runner. He can certainly take a punch and he's no stranger to dealing damage, so deal with him first before you wipe out his companions.

After you've made sure to clear your immediate surroundings of any enemies, use the designated transmat pad. This will send you over to a stockpile of enhanced ether. Keep a safe distance as you destroy that, then collect whatever fragments were dropped. Then, follow your objective back to the street.

Once there, you will be met by numerous enemies and yet another energy barrier. Deal with foes to the best of your abilities, but pay close attention to the Salvage Captain. Once killed, he will drop another explosive charge that you will use to drop the barrier.

Once the barrier is down, follow your objective marker back to Trostland and into Widow's Walk. Once you reach that area, don't worry about enemies, as there won't be any. Go to the marked spot and plant a flare. At this point, you should prepare for a long and hard battle, so take your time. Once you're ready, move to your new objective marker and activate the flare. Keep in mind that launching the flare will turn Widow's Walk into a Restricted Zone.

Shortly after you activate the flare, you will be swarmed by waves of glowing Fallen, mixed with some Elite enemies. Your objective is to stay alive and destroy four ether caches that will appear during the battle. They will come with their own personal advance guard of Empyrean Fallen, so make sure to kill as many of them as you can before the ether lands and buffs them. Once the guards are down, keep your safe distance from the stockpile and destroy it.

After you destroy the first ether stockpile, Commander Kraug will spawn alongside a Red Legion squad. At this point, start moving and make use of every ability you possess. Don't linger behind any cover for too long.

After the fourth stockpile is also destroyed, clear the area of any remaining forces. Ignore the Dusk Captain Maliszan until you've dealt with all weaker foes, then eliminate him too. Maliszan might be a bit of a challenge, but beating him requires the same strategy as an ordinary Fallen Captain. Drain his shields with Arc damage, then hit him as hard as you can.

Killing everything in the immediate vicinity will end the mission. You will receive your reward and will be granted access to the next mission of the quest line.
