It is part of the Shadowkeep Story Missions.
Mission Walkthrough
The Nightmare Cometh is the sixth mission of the Shadowkeep Expansion and it takes place on the Moon. In this mission, you will have to hunt down Phogoth.
Right after starting the mission, there will be a couple of Acolytes in front of you. Kill them and follow the path into the wreckage. Inside, you will find more Nightmare Acolytes, regular ones and Wizards.
After you have defeated them, head down through the corridors until you have reached The Gatehouse. Here, more enemies will await you. Be careful to dodge the Wizard's attacks and to be prepared for the Nightmare Thralls which may surprise you. Follow the waypoints into the next room and kill the Acolytes standing in the way. Be prepared to use your abilities and heavy weapons as there are numerous Nightmare Thralls and Revenant Knights dispersed through the level. Proceed further and you should encounter an Ogre and a few Nightmare Acolytes. Make sure to keep hitting the Ogre in the head to kill him rapidly.
After defeating the enemies, follow the waypoints through the tunnel and defeat the enemies positioned there which should be easy to take out. Enter the room and turn right and you will reach Summoning Pits. This is a restricted zone, which means you cannot respawn here, so be very careful when in combat. Here you will encounter Nightmare of Phogoth and many accomplices. Try to defeat the smaller enemies first and then use your supercharged if available on the boss. Hide behind a rock in order to dodge his powerful attacks and make sure to hit as many headshots as you can because they will deal extra damage. Defeating him will take a while so be ready to give everything you have got.
The mission will be completed once you have defeated Phogoth.
