Introduction
Scout Reports are a consumable item that can be purchased from the Vendor known only as Cayde-6 who sells these in droves, alongside the weekly Treasure Maps. This item can be purchased from 2 different locations during the game; the first one being The Farm before completing the story for the first time and the second location is The Tower after you’ve completed the game already by this point. No matter whether you’ve completed the game or not, Cayde-6 has no problem selling them to you and they can be used whenever you choose in the game.

Consumable
Like many other items, the Scout Reports are 1-time use consumable items that will vanish from your inventory once you’ve used one. Upon use of the item, the player will have 4 hours to enjoy the effects of the item which is to highlight any nearby loot caches (chests) that are near the player. They aren’t a required item for players to use, but they are very beneficial if you’re soloing, out on Patrols or even waiting for your next Raid and need something to do in the meantime.

Scout Reports can only be used for their corresponding planet and each Scout Report will be assigned to one specific planet – depending on the one you choose to purchase, as you can pick and choose which planet you’d like the Scout Report for at the Vendor. Regardless of the planet you activate the Scout Report; the effects will only apply to one of the 4 planets in the game:
*Earth
*Io
*Nessus
*Titan (Location)

Even after leaving the planet for the first time, the effect will remain on your character until the 4 hours of real world time have passed. With that, you’re free to leave the planet and do whatever you like before returning and the effect will still be there, providing that you haven’t returned after the 4 hours are up at this point.

__TOC__
Introduction
Treasure Maps are a new item that are exclusive to Destiny 2 and are an item that may be purchased from the Vendor Cayde-6. These items can be purchased on The Farm before completion of the game and can also be purchased at The Tower once the player has completed the game at least once with that character. Treasure Maps are used to lead players to a certain planet in search of 5 different chests that Cayde-6 seems to have left on the planet and forgot about over the years.

On the item itself there will be a small description that is a combination of both a riddle and a small quip from Cayde-6 himself and can give you a small inclination on where you’re meant to be going in the first place. Since the Treasure Maps are consumable items, you can use them from your inventory and for the next 4 hours these chest locations will be highlighted on your map.

A player may only purchase 5 Treasure Maps per week per character from Cayde-6 and each one of them will equate to 4,800 Glimmer for the player to fork over to purchase just one of them. At the end of every weekly reset, the Treasure Maps in your inventory will be removed regardless of whether you’ve found the chests or not and you will have to purchase the following week’s Treasure Maps if you wish to go in search of these chests again, however.

Map Locations
The Treasure Maps will lead you to all 4 locations in Destiny 2, but will only focus on one location each week:

*Earth
*Io
*Nessus
*Titan (Location)

After long enough, some of the Treasure Map locations will loop back to a location that you might have already explored for chests in the past. Despite this return to location, the areas in which the chests are located will have changed, as will the descriptions on the Treasure Maps, so with every weekly reset the Treasure Maps are once again new and unique, using different locations on the planet that they won’t have sent you to before.

Chest Rewards
At the end of each of these Treasure Maps will be one of the five chests for that week and while each chest will completely vary from one another, some of the items that can be acquired from these chests are as follows:

*Exotic Engrams
*Legendary Engrams
*Rare Weapons and Armor
*Cayde’s Odds and Ends

__TOC__
Introduction
Iron Banner is a PvP Event that appears in The Crucible 1 week at a time for each month in the year. During this time, players will have the opportunity to play in PvP matches that typically in the Control style of online match up. This Event is the only one that does not balance the level of the players, their weapons or their armor. Every piece of gear that a player has equipped will gain the full effect from the stats, buffs, and bonuses that come along with it. As a result of this change, participating in the event before reaching the max level of 20 isn’t exactly recommended, since the average player in this event has and will need access to some strong weaponry and equipment.

During Season 1 of the Iron Banner Event, the reward system is designed exactly the same as so many others in the rest of Destiny 2, where you can acquire tokens for the Iron Banner and use them to purchase a reward. Once that reward is opened it will give the player a random piece of equipment or weaponry, depending on absolutely no factors at all – other than straight up luck.

For Season 2, the developers at Bungie have revealed and announced that they are going to change this reward system specifically for this Event. The way it is meant to work for Season 2 is by allowing players the chance to – at the very least – purchase weapons from a man known only as Lord Saladin. While it is likely that players will also be given the chance to purchase armor from this Vendor as well, as of right now, Bungie has not stated whether or not that is the case right now.

JamesTown: Faction Rally - page addition.

Faction Rallies are a new addition to Destiny 2 that has the player choose from one of three different factions on offer each and every week: Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult. Depending on which of the three factions that you choose, you will garner some faction-specific rewards that can only be acquired from that selected faction. Of the three different factions you can choose from, no one faction is better than the other and by the end of the week, your faction affiliation will reset, so you can pick and choose between the lot for each Faction Rally.

Before you pledge, however, you must have finished the campaign and reached level 20 with that character, but that is the only restriction placed upon the player for the event.

Earning Tokens
With Faction Rallies you need to earn a resource for your chosen faction, the name of this resource is Faction Tokens. These Faction Tokens can be acquired through a number of different means, such as completing public events, Lost Sectors, Strikes, Raids, and even playing The Crucible.

To save the concern on missing out with any regular tokens that drop during any of these events or game modes, all of the regularly acquired tokens will be gained alongside the Faction Tokens that can be earned during each Faction Rally.
Rewards
These Faction Tokens can be used for one purpose and one purpose only and that’s to purchase reward packages for your chosen faction for that week. The reward packages can reward you with weapons, armor, and shaders as well whenever you decide to open one. Eventually, by the end of the week a faction is crowned the winner for the week and how that’s calculated is by which faction has opened the most reward packages throughout the week leading up to the next reset.

Each faction has one unique weapon that you can only acquire from that specific faction and while only the winner’s faction can sell their weapon to the rest of the player-base (even to opposing faction members), the winner’s that represent that faction gain the discounted price of the weapon, whereas everyone else gets the usual price:

*Non-Discounted – 50,000 Glimmer
*Discounted – 1,000 Glimmer

Be aware, after opening 30 different reward packages you will not be gaining anymore gear and instead will be replaced with shaders only. This is to avoid players farming for easy gear and cannot be circumnavigated against; with the only exception being to change characters and start farming with them after you have opened 30 different reward packages.

Banshee-44 is bound to be the Gunsmith you see the most of in this game, but with his role as an NPC and a Vendor, it makes sense just why Banshee-44 is so popular. Dealing entirely in weapons, Banshee-44 is the go-to stop for anything that shoots bullets, be they green or a Legendary. Just be aware, Banshee-44 isn’t available until after you’ve beaten the game for the first time, so don’t go in search of this Vendor until you’ve completed the main campaign.
Rewards
Available to the player in terms of reputation rewards, Banshee-44 can turn 28 Gunsmith Materials into a fully-fledged Faction Reward that you can’t get any other way. This reward will look similar to a Legendary Engram, but will reward the player with a variety of different weapons and even shaders if they are lucky enough to get them.
To acquire Gunsmith Materials, you must dismantle weapons, armor, and gear that is Rare (Blue) or higher and you will either receive one or multiple Gunsmith Materials to bring back to Banshee-44 for some more Faction Rewards.
Similar to many other Vendors, Benedict 99-40 will accept a secondary form of currency throughout your travels and these are called Emperor Calus Tokens. ==Relics of the Golden Age==
After beating the game for the first time, Master Rahool will give you a quest to go and speak with Tyra Karn regarding some research. Once you’ve found and spoken with Tyra Karn for this quest, you gain an item known as the Relics of the Golden Age. This item gives you two objectives to complete with a Legendary Sidearm known as the Drang – of which can be purchased from Tyra Karn for 10 Legendary Shards if you don’t already have one to hand:

*Objective 1: Defeat multiple Fallen with Drang without reloading.
*Objective 2: Defeat a powerful Fallen with Drang.
At which point you will be able to see Arcite 99-40 typing away behind a computer next to Lord Shaxx within the main courtyard.

Gear
Arcite 99-40 is considered a Gunsmith, so it makes sense that this Frame will sell the player a small selection of weapons to choose from right from the very onset. Regardless of your level, Arcite 99-40 will sell to you power appropriate gear, no matter how far you are into the game’s story at this point.

Keeping this in mind, however, Arcite 99-40 doesn’t sell weaponry/gear that is even close to being considered as end-game and is more of a vendor that has his uses in the early game, but quickly becomes outrank after the initial few hours in the game. Just remember, when you do finish the game, this character can no longer be used as a vendor, as he is no longer considered of use for a character of that level.

}}
Cayde-6 is an NPC and Vendor that will provide the player with a number of interesting items, such as Scout Reports, Treasure Maps, and will sometimes reward you for locating some of Cayde’s Odds and Ends. As per usual, however, talking with Cayde-6 typically gets met with some smart quips and some of that Exo charm on top of it all, making him a fun and interesting Vendor to go and talk with every now and again, especially so when he spills a little bit of lore here and there.

Location
Cayde-6 can be found in two separate locations throughout the game, but will only appear in his second location once you have finished the main storyline at least once with that character. Regardless of where you interact with Cayde-6, he still acts like a Vendor towards the player, whether they have finished the game up to this point or not. The two locations you’ll be finding him in are:
*The Farm – The first of his two locations, Cayde-6 can be found at The Farm once you have completed the mission Fury, but will leave The Farm the moment you complete the main campaign.
*The Tower – His second location is The Tower and can be found within this location as soon as the main campaign is complete and this will be where you find him from now. Near the entrance to the main maintenance hangar is where you will find Cayde-6 hanging out.

Cayde's Odds and Ends
Cayde’s Odds and Ends are miscellaneous items that can be acquired through following the Treasure Maps that he sells to you, as hidden within the chests can sometimes be one of Cayde’s Odds and Ends. These items can be handed back to Cayde-6 at The Tower and can result in a slight quip from Cayde-6, Glimmer, or absolutely nothing – depending on the item you’re handing over to him.

As of right now, Cayde’s Odds and Ends don’t elude to anything special, but it has been speculated that in the future they may have some use that could either unlock a new mission, some more content, or potentially some lore that has yet to be revealed about the Exo known as Cayde-6.

Scout Report
Scout Reports are consumable items that can only be purchased from Cayde-6 and will provide the locations of nearby caches for the corresponding planet that you have purchased the Scout Report for. Multiple Scout Reports can be purchased and held within the player’s Inventory at any one time, allowing you the opportunity to always have one on your person when needed most, such as waiting for the next Raid to start.

Upon using the Scout Report, you then have four, whole hours where any nearby caches are clearly marked on your map once you’re in their vicinity for that corresponding planet. The player is allowed to leave the planet and come back, as the effect will continue; up until the four hours of real time have passed, wearing off the effect.
Treasure Map
Treasure Maps are a new addition to Destiny 2 and as of right now can only be purchased from Cayde-6 – only after the Red War story campaign; whether that ever changes remains to be seen. These Treasure Maps change each and every week on the day of the weekly reset, without fail. Despite the reset every single week, the price of the Treasure Maps stays the same the entire time:

*Price – Glimmer 4,800

These Treasure Maps lead you on a wild goose chase for a chest that has been hidden somewhere on the planet that these Treasure Maps concern. With each week there are five different Treasure Maps for you to purchase and use as a starting guide to find one of the five chests that have been hidden throughout the planet. Inside these chests can be found weapons, armor, as well as Cayde’s Odds and Ends that can’t be retrieved any other way as of right now.

To discover that week’s Treasure Maps, you’ll be met with a relatively vague riddle on the Treasure Map that typically doesn’t reveal too much about the location you’re required to find, but just enough to figure out where it could potentially be. The only concrete clue these Treasure Maps give you are the planet you’re expected to search; nothing more.

As of right now, Cayde’s Odds and Ends don’t elude to anything special, but it has been speculated that in the future they may have some use that could either unlock a new mission, some more content, or potentially some lore that has yet to be revealed about Cayde-6.

JamesTown: Overhaul to the mods page.

Mods or Modifications

General Information
Mods are optional improvements that you can equip onto weapons and armor, so that way they can receive that extra little bit of power, without completely switching out to a new weapon or so on. Mods can also be used to increase your overall Power Level, if you’re finding that it’s slowly grinding to a halt the more you play Destiny 2.

Mods can be placed into two separate slots, providing that particular Mod corresponds with that section. For instance, you can’t put a Mod that would go on a weapon onto a piece of leg armor. You can put two completely different Mods onto the same item to accrue different improvements, but putting two of the same will allow for some diminishing stacking, meaning that you can improve the percentage for a certain statistic, but it won’t improve as highly as the first Mod, however it will still improve the percentage overall.

These Mods can come in two forms: Legendary and Rare. Depending on the rarity of the item, they will vary in their percentage of improvement whenever they are equipped to that corresponding piece of armor or weaponry. In all cases, Legendary Mods are going to be a bigger improvement over the Rare ones, regardless in what they are used for.

__TOC__
Acquiring Legendary Mods
After a while, your travels in Destiny 2 will net you with a fair amount of Rare Mods, but with knowing how much more the Legendary ones improve both that corresponding statistic assigned to them and your Power Level all at the same time, you’re going to want some better Mods on hand.

To acquire some new Legendary Mods through the use of your old Rare ones, you’re going to need to reach 280 Light beforehand. From there, you can go to the Gunsmith to turn in Rare Mods into Legendary ones, at the rate of 3:1 = 3 Rare Mods create 1 Legendary.

You can also create one random Legendary weapon or armor Mod by disenchanting Legendary Mods to acquire a Mod Component. After you have acquired 2 of these Mod Components, you can then proceed to craft a random Legendary Mod from the Gunsmith, which will be placed into your Inventory upon crafting.

Mod Effects
There are a number of different Mods for you to choose from, all of which doing a little something different for the player. All of these simplified effects are as follows:

*Absorption Mod – Increases overall armor resilience, which in turn allows for the player to sustain more damage.
*Bracket Mod – Increased overall handling of the weapon.
*Counterbalance Mod – Reduces the overall recoil for the weapon equipped with the mod.
*Damage Mod – Changes the rounds of the weapon to a specific damage type.
*Impact Mod – Melee abilities will recharge faster.
*Munition Loader – Improves overall reload speed.
*Ordinance Mod – Grenades will recharge faster.
*Paragon Mod – Class abilities will recharge faster.

Soujourner’s Camp is a Sector in the European Dead Zone. This Sector is a small cliff-like peninsula with crates and tents spread out around the grounds, following the original landing party’s success. Despite this, Fallen have been known to roam around the area and won’t hesitate to shoot a Guardian on sight.

When it comes to Sojourner’s Camp there isn’t actually much for the player to worry about, as it’s merely considered little more than a starting area for newer players to get their bearings.<br>
# Exit to Outskirts - Following on towards the far northeast part of the map is a long, winding road that will lead to an open container that can be used as a Sparrow ramp to make it to the next area.

# To the furthermost corner of the map in the north, just by the side of a cliff is a broken, small spherical object.
# Towards the western side of the map from the center is the next Scannable Object, of which is a thin beacon just on the edge of another cliff.
Siren's Watch is a Sector in New Pacific Arcology, Titan (Location) and is considered one of the main rigs for the moon of Saturn. This particular Sector is considered to be a bit of a maze, due to the numerous interior and external corridors and hallways that are scattered around it. On the ground level, there's a central nest to be found in the interior, where the majority of the Hive presence for this particular area can be found and located. On the upper level, it is expected of the player to typically be exploring the exterior of the rig, with a number of outside platforms and rooftops to jump from and onto that will eventually lead to the Command Center, along with Sloane the Fleet Technician among the northernmost part of the map. On the ground level, however, there are a few collectibles on offer and a Lost Sector to contend with that is easily missed if you're not looking for it.

Points of Interest
In total, there are a number of 14 different points of interests that are worth exploring and having a look at in this Sector:
# Bridge to Sinking Docks - Recalling the location in which you gain entry to Siren's Watch for the very first time, there is a yellow tube-like bridge that can be leaped across to and will allow access back to the Sinking Docks
# Exterior Forecourt - Not long after the first point of interest, there is an open expanse with plenty of crates spread out around the place, with a wide-open area for you to explore in almost any direction.
# Open Cargo Platform (Exterior) - To the northwest of the map, almost to the edge of the rig, there are a number of crates dotted around the area for cover and there's also a quick getaway into the Interior Cargo Room (#4) if you ever need it towards the east.
# Interior Cargo Room (Ground Floor Interior) - This area has two different entrances; one to the south leads to the Main Thoroughfare (Exterior) (#5) and the one to the west leads you back to the Open Cargo Platform (#3). Nearby are a few Acolytes, which are there to defend one of the scannable objects in this Sector.
# Main Thoroughfare (Exterior) - In this area is some scattered about crates and is considered the main route on the ground level for exterior access between the forecourt and the northeaster corner of the Sector and can be located almost smack-dab in the middle of Siren's Watch. This time around, however, without taking part in the campaign, there are a lot less enemies to attack you this time around.
# Terminal Side Chamber (Interior) - To access this room, take the metal steps and travel onto the low gantry platform and then onto the Side Walkway (#7). In this room, there's a skeleton holding onto a "help" sign in their fingers, but more importantly it allows for easy access to the Spawn Pod Chamber (#11) and even houses a Region Chest as well.
# Side Walkway (Exterior) - Nearing the southwest region of this Sector, there's an exterior walkway just above where you're looking for, so hop down to locate it. Fallen are expected to be found in this area throughout, but by following the long stepped area you can make it to the Comms Tower 02 (#10) with ease.
# Stepped Cargo Area (Exterior) - This eastern edge of Siren's Watch connects from the Side Walkway (#7) in the south and the Comms Tower 02 (#10) in the north. This area also allows quick access to the next Sector, The Rig.
# Gantry Towers to The Rig (Exterior) - Towards the east side of the map is two connected gantry towers and that's another way to access The Rig Sector.
# Comms Tower 02 (Exterior and Interior) - Located in the far northeast of the area is the Comms Tower 02 and one of the most interesting areas in the Siren's Watch. Just to the south of this area is the Spawn Pod Chamber (#11) if you are on the ground floor. To both the east and west sides of the building are a couple of smaller, interior rooms to be explored, but both of which house some of the Hive. Towards the western edge of the area, below the landing zone platform is an open door, which will lead to one of 3 of the Region Chests. Then, most interestingly, there is access to the Lost Sector, Methane Flush on the northeast gantry-way.
# Spawn Pod Chamber (Interior) - One of the central rooms in the middle of the map is some Hive encrusted buildings, with the strange Hive material covering every surface it can get a hold of and is one of the rooms you'll be expected to come back to as a point of reference a lot of the time.
# Computer Room (Interior) - This room is linked to the Spawn Pod Chamber (#11) and can be accessed from there through an upper-interior corridor. Inside the room is a lit up computer and a light blue floor, but by following the east side it quickly becomes a complete mess of Hive secretion, with Thralls to also contend with if not careful.
# Command Room Platform (Exterior) - Just above the Main Thoroughfare (#5) features some more crates, a raised platform that will lead back to the Spawn Pod Chamber (#11) and even some Fallen for good measure. Towards the north, you will find the entrance to the Command Room (#14).
# Command Room (Interior) - Enter through the Command Room Platform (Exterior) (#13) to pay a visit to the only vendor in Siren's Watch, Sloane.

Public Events
Regular
* Weapons Exchange - This public event has you take down a newly-spawned Fallen Arsenal Walker and resulting in this will be the reward of a brand new Boss Chest.
Secret
* High-Value Target No. 1 - A tougher version of the typical Fallen Captain drops in uninvited and must be taken down to receive a Boss Chest.
* High-Value Target No. 2 - A tougher version of the typical Hive Knight will land within the area and must be defeated to receive a Boss Chest for your troubles.
* High-Value Target No. 3 - A Hive Knight summons a horde of Thrall to attack and decimate you from afar. This target can be located in the northeastern corner of the open cargo platform and for defeating him you will be rewarded with a Boss Chest.
* Scavengers - Fallen scavengers arrive at the Spawn Pod Chamber area, where Fallen and Hive are fighting against one another to take control of a Fallen treasure chest that is being guarded by two Servitors. After both of those Servitors have been dealt with, the chest will open and reward the player with a random piece of loot for their efforts.
Region Chests
* Region Chest No. 1 - First of three of these chests can be found in a rather small maintenance room that is accessed through a U-shaped route, down alongside the Side Walkway, of which is to be found in the very southern exterior of the sector and in that room shall be the first Region Chest of the three.
* Region Chest No. 2 - The second of three can be located within the Terminal Side Chamber, which is the lower area of the Spawn Pod Chamber and in the corner, tucked away is the 2 Region Chest.
* Region Chest No. 3 - Last of the three can be found inside another small maintenance room, with this one being located just above ground through a dead-end path, which is located to the west of the Comms Tower 02 area. Inside that room, tucked away in another corner once again is the third and final Region Chest in this sector.
Scannable Objects
Within the expanse of the Sector Siren's Watch, there is a total of 5 different Scannable Objects to be found in the area:

# To the northeast of the landing pad (near where the Weapons Exchange Public Event spawns in, there is a room that can be found at ground level, wherein turn there will be a computer that can be scanned.
# Not far south from the same landing pad as the first is a Fallen antenna that can be scanned.
# Going towards the southeast corner of this Sector there is a building that looks swarmed and covered in some mysterious Hive material. Inside that building, on the ground floor, there is the third object that you can scan - in the form of a broken computer bank.
# Roughly towards the center of the map, there's a Hive infested building that houses the next object on the first floor, where a derelict Servitor shell is available to scan.
# Inside of the mess hall area, right next to Sloane's room is the last scannable object for the player.
Enemies
Vendors
The only vendor available in this area is Sloane the Fleet Technician, who will take any and all tokens that are found throughout Titan (Location). Tokens can be brought to Sloane in groups of 10, 5, or one and in return will increase the overall reputation you have with her; giving you the ability to purchase unique armor and weapons for the Titan class. As a vendor, Sloane can also decrypt any engrams that are taken to her.
